International Womens Open Eastbourne

The world's top female players gather in East Sussex for the traditional Wimbledon curtain-raiser. Part of the WTA Tour, Eastbourne is one of the top tennis events in England, attracting professionals eager to get some vital practice on grass.

Tucked away in rural East Sussex, tennis has been played at Eastbourne for 100 years. The courts are only two minutes' walk from the seafront, famous for its three-tier promenade, flowers and the beautifully-restored Pier.
